The path to an assignment
In seven steps
We do not accept every offer of help straight away – not out of reticence, but because poorly supervised help puts animals and people at risk.

A few sentences about you, your availability and what you can do.

We check the need, the fit and whether we can support you properly.
- 3 · Introductory conversation
Short, open, with room for your questions.
- 4 · First task
Small and clearly defined – not everything at once.
- 5 · Briefing
Safety, data protection and how to handle the animals.
- 6 · Review together
What went well, what was difficult, what was missing?
- 7 · Decision
Together: continue, adjust or stop.
What we do not promise: a guaranteed reference, guaranteed contact with animals or unlimited participation. What we do promise: an honest answer and a task that is genuinely needed.
What you take away
Helping here means building with us
Volunteering with us does not mean working through tasks nobody else wants. Those who help see at close range how private animal welfare turns into an organised system of relief – with roles, processes and traceable results. That is practical experience no course can give you: real responsibility in a small, serious project being built from the ground up.
A sense of impact
You see immediately that your contribution counts: animals fed, an appointment managed, a clear overview created.
Meaning instead of abstraction
Not „doing good somehow“, but concrete impact in a concrete place – week after week.

A few clear rules protect everyone involved. They are not an obstacle but the reason this works:
Animals are never taken away without approval.
Medical decisions are made by vets together with Margo – never by volunteers.
Sensitive location data is not shared publicly.
Photos, videos and stories are published only after approval.
New helpers start with one clear, small task.
Reliability matters more than perfect experience.
