Murka animal welfare association
The German-based animal welfare association Murka supports Margo financially – specifically for food and veterinary visits. This funding covers a substantial part of the ongoing care.
Behind the daily care of an estimated 250–300 animals (as of 2026) stands a small, reliable circle of partners – financially, medically and in everyday life. They are what makes work on this scale possible at all.
Three partners secure the essentials: money for food and treatment, a home for some of the cats, and food at fair terms.

The windsurfing school belongs to Tony Frey, Margo’s sister. She supports the work financially and the school is at the same time home to around 25 cats who live and are cared for on the grounds. Margo herself works there during the day as a surf instructor – work and care merge into one another here.
Four pet food shops support Margo with discounts on food. The owners meet her work with a great deal of empathy – a noticeable difference given the quantities needed every day.
Margo works with two experienced veterinary practices. Both are highly competent and treat the animals in her care at somewhat reduced prices.
Competent veterinary care for the animals in Margo’s charge – at reduced terms for the initiative. Also carries out neutering at the agreed rate.
An experienced veterinary centre that treats Margo’s animals expertly and at reduced prices. Also carries out neutering at the agreed rate.
Each of these partners takes a share of the load off Margo – together, care becomes a network that holds.
This page grows with the initiative. Further partners, sponsors and supporters will be added as they join. If you would like to contribute too, we would be glad to hear from you.
